The Pregnancy Announcement Card!!

It is almost pregnancy announcement time! Today we mailed out one card and will mail out the others tomorrow! It is so exciting to think that the word is finally going to be out :) We wanted to do something special to announce this baby. Something a bit more unique than just blurting it out over the phone. We wanted something tangible for the grandparents to hold. Now they can hold and look at the portrait of their newest grandchild--a little keepsake, and you know I love keepsakes! :) Plus I think the ultrasound picture is too cute--everyone needs a copy (click to enlarge photo)! I have enjoyed waiting to announce this pregnancy, however. It has been fun to have a special secrect just between Toomas and myself. And 9 months is a long time..we figure we have plenty of time and it didn't need to be rushed. Not announcing it has allowed some of the "dull" time to pass too. We STILL haven't told the kids yet, but are planning to do so before our trip on Saturday--either Thursday or Friday after their last day of summer camp. I'm excited to see their reactions! I know they will be SO excited. We have already talked about it "theoretically" so I know they are mentally prepared for the idea and they'll be beyond excited for it to be a reality!
